A 5-star hotel next to Angleterre. Quite nice old building with a long, long history and all the necessary overpriced facilities, good interior, and sometimes even antique furniture. The only problem is that it costs too much for what is offered. You'd pay at least 3 times less elsewhere. A single rooms costs $694, a double room $835. Breakfast not included. Managed by Rocco Forte Hotels.
A comment from Marketing & PR manager of Astoria: "The hotel has recently played host to George Bush (both son and father), Henry Kissinger, Rudolph Giuliani, Jacques Chirac, Prince Charles, Tony Blair, Pavarotti and others.
The hotel was completely refurbished in 2002 and offers all modern technical amenities (in-room - data port, voice mail, interactive TV)."
