A unique and popular bar tucked away in a hutong in the Gulou area. Bed’s decor is its best feature. Bare concrete floors and whitewashed, sparsely decorated walls combined with simple bed-like seats gives the bar something that is all too lacking in the Beijing nightlife scene – originality. Prices are just slightly above average with bottled beer from ¥20-30 while cocktails and spirits are ¥30-45. The only drawback is that the nauseating variety of pop music often makes its way onto the soundtrack. Nevertheless Bed is an agreeable place to have some drinks with friends.
