Perhaps the best place to take professional training and workshops for dancers in Belgium, Charleroi Danses now offers regular performances scheduled at the Les Ecuries. The artistic directors Michèle Anne De Mey, Pierre Droulers, Thierry De Mey and Vincent Thirion create a place that fosters contemporary dance and movement developement as Charleroi remains the choreographic center for dance in French speaking Belgium. Almost all artists invited to Charleroi are either Belgian or are affiliated with its overly present dance lineage.
