A truly excellent Thai restaurant in a prime location for tourists on Shamian Island. The Cow and Bridge is the best place to grab lunch or dinner on your dutiful sightseeing adventure to the former colonial concession. The restaurant boasts an extensive menu, including plenty of options for vegetarians. Most main courses are about ¥45 and can range up to ¥90 for more elaborate or seafood meals. Beers cost ¥15-20 and there is a special range of Thai drinks for ¥20. Waiters speak good English and the service is generally efficient, although it can be hard to get their attention at times. Meanwhile, the decor is fairly simple, only spiced up with the addition of a few plants. But it’s the quality of the food that makes this place great. The meals are absolutely delicious.
