This prestigious cultural center for contemporary art, located in the center of Antwerp, Belgium gives proof to Belgium's incredibly progressive sensibility in the arts. This stunning building, encompassing performance arts as well as a small gallery for architecture and a center for arts education make deSingel an artist's haven. Artists and audiences alike can enjoy a varied program in performance or take part in lectures given in the library by leading thinkers in performance and theory. In my opinion this is one of the best performance venues in Europe because of its strong curatorial practice linking theory and practice as well as its mission in developing multi-disciplinary artist projects. The dance program is one of the most comprehensive in Europe with a opportunities to take classes and workshops.
