With the move into the „Alte Fliescherei“ on Torstrasse 116, the owners; Ron Siedner and Frank Scheunemann, preserve one of the last authentic locations in Berlins‘ Mitte before the soulless development could take over.
Since the closing of the original butchers, the location served the international creative people as a studio. Street artists such as CBS and Banksy have left their calling card- on the tiles of the slaughterhouse and in the freezer rooms.
During its three year presence on Kastanienallee - extrafein has show again and again, its capabilities of versatility; with its weekly new stock, changing art exhibitions, surprise rebuilds- and again, its limited edition extrafein bags. From here, customers took the striking ´e´ logo in to the trendy metropolis of Europe, so whether in Paris, Barcelona, Milan or London- whoever loves fashion wears everything he needs in the bag with the extrafein smiley. What once started in the immediate proximity of Helmholtzplatz in a small show room, with not seen in Berlin brands (such as ‚Strayboys‘ or ‚Won Hundred‘) now finds its logical location in the heart of Berlin
on Torstrasse and Rosenthaler platz. With the increase of space, comes the increase of choice in all the brands. April 77 is now back on the scene, along with exclusive one off pieces from Sopopular.
