This expat-heavy bar, run by serial bar owner Doug Steele, used to be known as the Boarhouse - a long-standing institution in Moscow. Reopened in early 2008, the renovation was supposed to make the bar into a slightly classier joint but old habits die hard. Hot Dogs is particularly popular with the more "mature" Moscow expats. Packed almost every day, it features concerts, live soccer and rugby broadcasts and various parties. The food is quite cheap especially in the afternoon, when there are discounts. Their specialty is hot dogs. Happy hours from 6 to 9pm daily. There are a quite a few working girls at Hot Dogs, but if that's not your thing then it's possible to avoid them.
