ImPulsTanz Vienna International Dance Festival is one of the main contemporary dance festivals in Europe. It gathers dancers, choreographers and teachers together from all over the world for five weeks of performance, research and workshops. It was founded in 1984 by Ismael Ivo and Karl Regenburger and was called Internationale Tanzwochen Wien. danceWEB is a scholarship program attached to the festival that has now become a forum for sharing knowledge and ideas.

Artists who have been invited to give workshops include a who's who of the important artists in contemporary dance today.
