Pleasant Japanese restaurant and bar that boasts a simple yet stylish and elegant design. Comfortable black leather sofas are interspersed among the brown wood furniture and paneling. Jazz-Ya features a broad menu of traditional Japanese cuisine. Sushi and sashimi cost ¥40-50, ‘iron plates’ go for ¥50 while the selection of skewers range from ¥8-15. For those with an aversion to Japanese food there is also a selection of pizzas and pastas for around ¥50. The drink menu will please any discriminating imbiber with a thorough range of quality spirits (from ¥30) and cocktails (average ¥40). They also have Asahi beer on tap for ¥25. The eclectic background soundtrack is, strangely enough, conspicuously devoid of jazz.
