Pritzker Prize laureate Kazuyo Sejima, of architectural firm SANAA, will give a lecture at Strelka entitled «People Meet in Architecture», the same title as that she chose for last year’s Venice Architecture Biennale, which she curated. As Paolo Baratta, the president of the Venice Biennale, pointed out, Sejima «believes that designing means to identify uses and purposes in the first place and then to put into question the relationship between them.» Projects done by SANAA include the Christian Dior building in Tokyo, the Rolex Education Center in Lausanne, a branch of the Louvre in the French city of Lens, the Serpentine Pavilion in London, the Museum of 21st-Century Art in Kanazawa, and the New Museum of Contemporary Art in New York City.
