Choreographer, Dancer and Teacher, graduated as a New Dance Performer at the School for New Dance Development in Amsterdam, in Theatre and Dance at the Civica Scuola d’Arte Drammatica P. Grassi and in Dance Therapy with Maria Fux at the Civica Scuola di Animazione Pedagogica e Sociale in Milano.
She studied in New York at the Erick Hawkins Dance Foundation and at the Limon Institute.
She is an SME® (Somatic Movement Education) and IDME® (Infant Development Movement Education) practitioner and she is completing her training in BMC® (Body-Mind Centering).
She danced for choreographer like: Min Tanaka, Katie Duck and Masaki Iwana, being a member of his Butoh Company “Habillé d’Eau”. With her choreographies she is performing in Italian festivals and theatres.
She has researched and developed the art of improvisation collaborating with several musicians, like: Alessandro Bosetti, Maddalena Zeiro, Carlo Virzi, Fakhraddin Gafarov, Annamaria Cristian and Gianni Mimmo.
She has been teaching Contemporary Dance, Improvisation, Composition and Butoh to dancers and actors, at either amateur and professional level and she has been developing workshops and movement classes for children and parents focusing on developmental issues through dance and creativity.
Since November 2006 she is the Artistic Director of the Milano Contemporary Dance Festival “Uscite di Emergenza”.
Since October 2008 she is the creator and curator of “The Meeting Point – Under the Roof” an international, interdisciplinary, multimedia project on Improvisation and Instant Composition in collaboration with The Meeting Point European Network. Within the project she has also started “UNDER12”, interdisciplinary and interactive improvisation performances for children and their caregivers.
