Marie Chouinard is a Canadian contemporary dancer, choreographer, founder and artistic director of the Compagnie Marie Chouinard. Her first work in 1978, Crystallization, established her as an important artist to watch and she has continued performing and creating work since that time. She views dance a a sacred art and respects the body as a vehicle for that art.
