This 5-star hotel run by a Russian company is located in a beautiful art noveau building, next to Bolshoy theater and Red Square. There are 5 floors, 375 rooms, 2 bars, a cafe, 3 different restaurants, a fitness club (with a gym, sauna, and swimming pool), a business center and conference halls. One can use the fitness club for free, but an extra fee should be paid to use the business center and conference halls.
When booked online, a standard room can be snapped up for as little as $490 for single and $550 for double occupancy. Superior rooms come as cheap as $570 and $630 respectively. Each room has a unique retro style interior and standard 5-star amenities, such as satellite TV, internet access and a mini-bar. The location just a minute's walk from Red Square and opposite the Bolshoy Theater is superb and the Metropol is a little cheaper than other 5-star hotels in Moscow.
