PS122 is a performance/gallery space in which innovative and progessive artistic creations are supported. It is an environment in which young and newly established artists can develop their ideas alongside mid-career artists. It was originally an abandoned school, but now an alternative performance space that serves as a leading venue for expiremental art.
Multidisciplinary work tends to be the focus of the programming with a particular interest in unconventional projects. This attractive space, although nearly bankrupt, is one of the most exciting performance venues in New York.
