This beautifully designed restaurant serves up delectable Persian cuisine with impeccable service. The spacious interior is fresh and relaxing, decorated in off-white with high ceilings, long picture windows looking out onto Gongti Beilu and massive mirrors. Prices at Rumi range from reasonable to slightly expensive (by Beijing standards) depending on what you order. Salads and starters cost around ¥30, while the delicious stews cost ¥50-60. The rest of the menu is dominated by kebab dishes which range in price from ¥40-120. There’s also the option of ordering a kebab and stew combo for around ¥120. In the drinks department Rumi boasts an impressive range of fresh juices and special drinks for ¥20-30. The waiters have clearly been well-trained – they actually leave the bill on the table for you to peruse at your leisure instead of merely showing it to you. Highly recommended.
