Now this is a one-man show the world has never seen before. An unconventional line-up consisting of a drum kit, modular synthesizers and self-designed looping and triggering technology is handled all the way by just one single artist: Sebastian Arnold, the “mad scientist drummer”, who is not only reputed to clandestinely record every instrument in the studio by himself again once the band has left the room, but who has now also finally felt his own vocation to be a pioneer of a new avantgarde of electronic musicians performing beyond the hype and mainstream of loops and laptop computers.
The arrangements are built upon the interaction of artist and instrument, on the tightly woven wire mesh between drum kit and electronic equipment and on the sophisticated musical logic that is the foundation of these songs. Haunting soundscapes come into being through the linkage of drum beats and the synthesizer, densified by real-time modifications of the sounds and also traditional ways of operating musical instruments such as drums, percussion, keyboards and an electric bass.
