The Blues Room is another quality jazz bar in a city that has a wealth of them. What differentiates this bar is that they host live music at 10pm every night in a range of styles - blues, jazz, funk, soul – and follow it up with a nightly jam session at 1am. Furthermore, there’s a different promotion happening just about every day of the week, including an open bar on Fridays and ladies night on Tuesdays. The Blues Room has an extensive selection of drinks (especially spirits) with draught beer from ¥45 and cocktails from ¥50. Standard bar food is available for an average of around ¥60. The Blues Room isn’t the most stylish or atmospheric jazz bar in Shanghai, but what makes it a great place is that there’s always something different and interesting going on.
