TROPEN are linguistic constructs that deviate from the usual causality in language. In general, tropes avoid negative aspects of expression: a listener’s exhaustion due to length, repetition, lack of comprehension or cleverness, uniformity in expression... Dieter Baumann and Reinhold Friedl focused on this concept and now present their results: a monodic sound and movement experience with interconnections and declinations. The dancer becomes a chamber singer – the singer is the body – in a dialogue with the pianist. The sound machine and the body meet in a reduced way, simultaneously wild and disciplined.
